On Nov. 5, Sister Elizabeth Wanyoike of the Missionary Congregation of the Evangelizing Sisters of Mary traveled to Kenya as a delegate for the Seventh General Chapter of her congregation.

Father Ron Stone, pastor of Holy Cross Parish in Pigeon Forge and a priest of the Diocese of Knoxville, passed away Dec. 8 following a recent battle with cancer.

The Rorate Mass, which honors Our Lady, will bring together the many religious communities of the diocese and will also include special prayer intentions for the next bishop of Knoxville.
